Question 1

How do I cancel my Patreon subscription online?

Accepted Answer

Log into patreon.com, go to Settings, click Memberships, select the creator, and choose Cancel membership. This works on any browser without needing the app.

Question 2

Can I cancel Patreon without deleting my account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Canceling a membership only stops payments to that creator. Your Patreon account and login remain fully active afterward.

Question 3

Will I be charged again after canceling Patreon?

Accepted Answer

No, as long as the cancellation goes through before your next billing date. You will keep access until your current paid period ends, then billing stops.

Question 4

How do I check if my Patreon membership was actually canceled?

Accepted Answer

Go back to the Memberships tab in Settings. A canceled membership will no longer appear as active, and you should also receive a confirmation email.

Question 5

Can I cancel Patreon and still follow a creator for free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. During the cancellation flow, Patreon usually gives you the option to switch to a free membership instead of leaving completely, so you can still see public posts.

Question 6

Why can't I find the cancel button on Patreon?

Accepted Answer

You are likely viewing your creator profile instead of your member profile, or the subscription was purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play and needs to be canceled there instead.

Question 7

Does Patreon refund money after you cancel?

Accepted Answer

Not automatically. Refunds are handled case by case since creators receive the funds directly. Contact Patreon support or the creator if you believe you were charged in error.
